Joining Forces with Denver’s Warren Village to Light the World this Holiday Season

To “Light the World” with Christ’s love, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons), are encouraging people throughout the world to engage in all kinds of service this holiday season. This is the first article in a series that will highlight a local service opportunity in the Denver metro area. Even our small acts of kindness and service, can make a big difference in the lives of people who are struggling this holiday season.

Join more than 1,500 local volunteers who have given meaningful service this year at Warren Village, a local non-profit dedicated to helping low-income single parent families achieve personal and economic self-sufficiency through affordable housing, early care and education for children, and a variety of family services including career counseling, education, financial planning and much more.

As a special holiday effort to serve both parents and children supported by Warren Village, the organization is hosting it’s 30th Annual Holiday Shop (add hyperlink). Warren Village accepts new, unwrapped gifts for both parents and children then sets up the gifts at a nearby church where Warren Village families are invited to come and shop, free of charge.

You can help out in a variety of ways, including: providing direct gift donations beginning December 4th, purchasing gifts from the wish lists on Amazon, making a direct monetary contribution, and by volunteering at the Holiday Shop. Visit https://warrenvillage.org/holidayshop/ for details.

As you join in meaningful service in the Denver community, you will feel the light within you grow and will help lift others in just the way they may need at this time.
